Mr. Barfoed in conversation with managing director of Crispy Food Mads Quistgaard.

Minister for Family- and Consumer Affairs, Mr. Lars Barfoed paid Crispy Food a visit on June 9th 2005.

He was offered the opportunity to watch a specialized food factory running and learn about quality management and HACCP (management of food safety).

This visit was arranged in connection with a 2-day seminar in the HACCP forum within the Danish Technological Institute. More than 50 Danish food companies join this forum as members and thereby significantly contribute to keep the food safety in Denmark at its internationally recognized high level.

At Crispy Food the forum had the opportunity to discuss the pros and cons of the public authorities' mandatory inspections of the Danish food manufacturers directly with the political head of the Danish Food Authorities. Lars Barfoed expressed his deep interest in "safe and healthy foods" and was happy to meet the "users" of the public inspections.
